Population is the 2020 Census count.
Density is people per square mile of land. Land area excludes water, so Lake Champlain towns (Addison, Panton, Ferrisburgh) are measured on land only.
Energy burden is the share of household income spent on home heating, electricity and transportation combined.
Income is median household income, the Census measure Efficiency Vermont uses. It is a median, not an average.
Vintage. Income comes from the American Community Survey 2017–2021 five-year estimates, so it trails today's dollars. Energy burden is from the 2023 report and uses the same income base. Small towns such as Goshen, Granville and Hancock have wide margins of error. Granville and Hancock are in Addison County but belong to a different regional planning commission, so they do not appear in the Addison County Regional Plan's burden table.
