Grow Energy Navigators Campaign
Are you concerned about. . .
The changing climate?
The impact of federal budget cuts on our local communities?
Rising energy costs?
Impacts on neighbors, friends and families?
We provide energy coaches to residents through a personal, neighborly approach. Our program lets us:
Provide clients with timely, reliable information.
Accurately measure their progress and impact.
Since Energy Navigators was launched in 2024, we’ve conducted over 100 navigation visits – including more than 60 with low- or moderate-income households or individuals. We are now beginning to see results from Navigator clients, such as tighter homes, new cold-climate heat pumps, home solar panels and other dollar and energy savings.
Supporting successful local programs is a great way to make positive progress and feel good along the way — especially in the face of federal cuts that threaten a clean energy future.
You can make a difference right here in Addison County!

Addison County’s Climate Economy Action Center (CEAC) seeks donations to support its signature Energy Navigators program. Energy Navigators is free to local residents who request our assistance. It helps them save money, be more comfortable, and substantially reduce the use of fossil fuels in their homes and transportation. Energy Navigators also bolsters resiliency in the face of climate-related emergencies.
Energy Navigators has already attracted interest and support from private foundations, state and national programs, and local municipalities. We are being asked by communities to expand this program, and are eager to do so. We partner with Efficiency Vermont, Vermont Energy Education Program (VEEP), Heat Squad, and the Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO). They inform the guidance and support for our clients, and add capacity for this work in Vermont.

A greater focus on local programs and services is needed in today’s world, and local climate action is one area where your gifts can make a difference. Please consider where you might fit in the chart below.
CEAC is launching the Grow Energy Navigators fundraising campaign this fall to increase the base of support within our communities and expand the services we provide. We have secured grants and other funding that will enable the program to continue through the end of 2026. Some of these funds come from the federal government and are very unlikely to be renewed. Our goals are to increase both the number of donors to CEAC and the amounts that our supporters consider as they make their own donation decisions. We know that increased local support will be needed in the next year, and that foundations and other grantors look favorably on local matching funds.
